PlayStation 6 Leak Tips 4K 120 FPS “In Most Games” With 6-12× RT Performance of PS5

Let’s get into it: This PS6 is rumored to run on some RDNA 5 GPU magic from AMD, with 52-54 Compute Units going absolutely nuts at up to 3.6 GHz. We’re talking 2.5 to 3 times the regular graphics power of a PS5 and apparently 6 to 12 times the ray tracing performance. This means, on paper, ray tracing might actually matter for once and not just tank your frame rate. Oh, and there’s a new handheld coming too, with a totally different chip that’s supposed to blow the PS5 out of the water on ray tracing—at 1080p though (so don’t sell your big TV yet).
So where’s the catch? Always somewhere. There’s already talk of memory issues possibly making it stupid expensive or hard to get at launch. If the PS6 comes out around 2027, as the leaks insist, bet on some launch madness. The word is, you might get a period of limited stock or weirdly jacked up prices before things settle. Also, all those numbers look fantastic until you remember: “in most games” doesn’t mean all games, and we know how devs love skipping promised features to meet deadlines.
Be honest—who’s actually going to use 120 FPS in 4K for anything but racing games and maybe one triple-A shooter? Most folks will stick to 60 Hz and not notice unless their TV flashes neon “120 Hz” in their face. Still, if you’re the type who needs the latest hardware flex, this is up your alley.
If (and that’s a big if) this lands in the UAE anywhere near a sane launch window, expect the FOMO crowd to make Datcart’s shelves look like a drought zone on day one. No price tags out yet, so don’t even ask. Just keep watching—maybe Sony (and Datcart) will surprise us, but don’t hold your breath.
